(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The detainees along with two Afghan nationals were arrested for possession of 30 illegal weapons at Kabul airport on Tuesday.
Security sources said the serial numbers and brand names of the weapons had been removed.
Tuesday's arrest is not the first case of a foreign national being arrested for carrying illegal arms into Afghanistan.
British nationals have been detained while distributing arms among Taliban militants in the past.
In the past, a number of Western nationals, disguised as medics, who helped Taliban militants in the southern province of Helmand, were also arrested and expelled from the country.
