(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Anti-government protesters in the city of Qatif in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia have seized an armored vehicle belonging to the security forces.
On Monday, protesters in the eastern city of Qatif and nearby town of Awamiyah continued to hold demonstrations against the House of Saud despite security forces' crackdown on the protesters.
Earlier in the day, security forces opened fire on the protesters in Qatif, leaving several people dead and injured including 9 years old girl, according to activists.
Similar demonstrations also took place in Awamiyah, where protesters burned tires and blocked main roads.
Saudi Arabia's east has been the scene of anti-government protests over the past months with demonstrators demanding human rights reform, freedom of expression and the release of political prisoners.
