(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Egypt's ousted dictator, Hosni Mubarak appeared in a court for the third time with witnesses giving testimonies about his involvement in the killing of protesters. More than 850 people were killed and thousands more were wounded in the 18 days that led to Mubarak's ouster after a three-decade rule.
The session resumed off camera and one of the surprised events in the trial venue was removing the CD’s records of the conversations of former officials and security system officials.
These dialogues ware about the strategies officials could use in confronting the demonstrators. Hussein Moses, head of the communication system was accused of wiping the CD’s content out and was called to the court.
Brigadier, Hussein Saeid Moses, was one of the most witnesses of Jan 25 revolution and attended to the court. He attested that when he was in the operative room, the officers had dialogue about transferring some weapons to the Tahrir Square; and those equipments and weapons were transferred from the Ministry of Interior building to the square.
He also attested that Brigadier Ahmad Waziri gave order for equipping the security forces in front of the Ministry of Interior building and this order was given without consulting with other officers, considering the fact that high ranked officers gave the lower ranked officers total freedom to face with protesters which means they were allowed to use firearms against people.
Mubarak’s trial recesses and he will back to the court in the forth session over killing of protesters.
Considering off cameras trial and not publishing the pictures of the session, Taqrib News Agency had an exclusive interview with the political analyst, Hussein Rouivaran.
“This decision, not publishing the pictures and holding the trial session without live cameras, was made by the court judge and Ameh Raffat imposed a broadcast ban in the third Mubarak trying session,” Rouivaran said.
He underlined, “Publishing the picture of the guy who has governed Egypt for 30 years would augment people’s courageousness in dethroning the dictatorial governors.”
“On the other hand, Saudi Arabia put Egyptian officials under a lot of pressure to deter trying Hosni Mubarak,” Rouivaran underlined as added, “ so the judge imposed a broadcast ban in the third trial session, for what he called protecting the testimony of witnesses,” the political analyst underlined.”
In answering to the question that whether it is possible that some of the documents against Mubarak have been removed in order to exculpate him from the guilt and exonerate him of all charges, Hussein Rouivaran underlined,” yes, these is such possibility and they try to exculpate him from massacring people and vitiate his accusations.”
The political analyst also pointed to Egyptians’ request about the expulsion of Saudi Arabia envoy to the country and said,” this entreaty and request derived from Saudi Arabia intervention in Egypt inside issues.”
“ Saudi Arabia is a patron for Salafi movement,” said Rouivaran stating that this group endeavor to force oppressed families to call them to renounce their complaint by bribing them $ 5000 and $ 100,000.”
He underlined,” this event made Egyptians irate and they vituperate and upbraid such policy.”
“This activity was not possible without Saudi help and such issue is not acceptable to Egyptian nations and some of Egyptian officials,” Rouivaran mentioned.
