(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot a Palestinian man at the eastern entrance to Qalqilia city and arrested him after he sustained injuries, local sources said.
They said that Mahdi Amer, 22, suffered moderate wounds, adding that the soldiers claimed he tried to assault them at the entrance to a military position where a Palestinian and Israeli liaison office is located.
IOF sources said that the young man brandished a knife and tried to attack a female conscript while shouting Allahu Akbar, prompting the soldiers to fire at him.
The IOF soldiers closed the sole entrance to the city and blocked traffic in and out of it.
