(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Authored by Ali Eslami, the book “Religious Pluralism in view of the Quran” was published by Qom’s Boostan-e Ketab Publications.

The book has investigated different types of religious pluralism in about 400 Quranic verses with a thematic interpretation.

It has been compiled in 5 sections, the first dealing with some generalities of religious pluralism in the Quran in 3 chapters. The second section of the book discusses 11 views held by the pluralists, and the third one investigates the holy Quran’s view on religious pluralism.

Pluralism of salvation according to the Quran is the topic of the fourth section of the book and the last one deals with social pluralism from Quranic perspective.

Ali Eslami, the author, believes that decontextualizing the Quranic verses and studying them with no regard to the preceding and following verses is an approach used by pluralists in interpreting the Holy Book.

“They intend to prove and promote the idea of religious pluralism by focusing on equivocal verses; therefore, we should attempt to disclose their interpretive errors using the systematic method of “Quran to Quran Interpretation”, with regard to the contextual meaning of the verses based on the Infallibles’ (AS) Hadiths,” he went on to say.

Pluralism implies rejecting singularity in favor of plurality in different spheres like philosophy, politics, society, culture, religion, etc.

Discussing “religious pluralism” in terms of the philosophy of religion, the book has been written in 420 pages and published in 1500 copies.
