(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei pardoned and commuted sentences of 996 prisoners following a request for amnesty by Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani.
The prisoners had been convicted by the civil, military and revolutionary tribunals. The move came on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of Imam Ali (AS).
