(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - India’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday arrested an Israeli national and seized five kilograms of high grade hashish allegedly transported by him by concealing them under handicraft products.
The Delhi unit of the agency arrested Ygal Grinberg (40), an Israeli citizen, from Mahipalpur area of the capital after a trap was laid based on prior inputs, pti reported quoting sources as saying.
Interestingly, the NCB team found that the contraband, worth Rs five lakh in the market, was hidden beneath handicraft products and stitched between cloth items that are made in Rajasthan.
The NCB team had to deploy additional manpower to un-stitch them and take out the hashish, they said.
The anti-narcotics enforcement agency is suspecting the role of some small scale cottage industries units in transporting the contraband as the pattern of sewing could be done by machines used for the purpose.
