Japan condemned the explosions that took place on Thursday in Karbala aimed against the visitors of the Arba’een.

Baghdad (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Japan condemned the explosions that took place on Thursday in Karbala aimed against the pilgrims of the Arba’een.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Jan. 22, Japan’s Embassy in Baghdad said, “Japan feels a big shock and resentful against the two suicide attacks that took place on January 20th aimed at pilgrims of the Arba’een and resulted in a large number of martyrs and injured.”

It added that Japan expresses its deep condolences to the families of the martyrs in both attacks.

It went on, “Terrorism can not be justified, whatever the reason is; Japan strongly condemns such savage acts that indiscriminately aimed against innocent people.”

The statement asserted that Japan hopes for the new Iraqi government to consolidate security stability and reconstructing the company’s economy regardless to religious and ethical barriers in consolidation to national reconciliation, pointing out that Japan will continue it positive support to such Iraqi efforts.

On Thursday, Jan. 20, three car bombs exploded against the pilgrims of Arba’een, killing and wounding tens.
