Bistti, in a statement to SANA, referred to the measures taken by Hasaka Governorate and the Turkish Urfa Council as to facilitate the movement of the Turkish Citizens visiting their relatives in Hasaka Governorate.
Mr. Ilker Ozerk Ozcan, the Governor of Ceylanpinor, referred to the annual increase in the number of visitors who pay a 48 visit to Syria during Eid periods.
About 936 Syrian Citizens from Hasaka Governorate paid a visit during the last Eid Al-Fitr to their relatives in Turkey across the Syrian-Turkish border point of 'Ras Al-In'-' ceylanpinor'.
Meanwhile, thousands of Turkish people crossed the Bab el-Hawa border crossing point to visit their relatives in Syria.
Governor of Idleb Khaled al-Ahmad underlined the importance of similar visits that reunite families and relatives from both countries, pointing out that 86 joint projects between Syrian and Turkish border towns were announced.
The border crossing point at Kassab, Lattakia, saw hundreds of Syrian families crossing into Turkey to visit relatives in the city of Antakya.
Governor of Lattakia Khalil Mashhadiye underlined the depth of the relations between the Syrian and Turkish people, noting that Syrian-Turkish relations have become an example to be followed.
In turn, Governor of Antakya Mehmet Celalettin Lekesiz said that these visits should open new prospects between Antakya and bordering Syrian governorates, calling for exerting efforts to further boost relations between the two countries.
He added that canceling entry visas led to an increase of tourist exchange and visits by 86% compared to 2009.
Lekesiz said that this occasion expressed the friendship and fraternity between the two countries, stressing that Syria is Turkey's gateway to the Arab region and that Turkey is Syria's gateway to Europe.
