Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; Moscow -- President Dmitry Medvedev sent his best wishes to Muslims across Russia as they celebrate Eid ul-Fitr, also known as Uraza-Bairam, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
"This holiday turns the Muslims' thoughts towards spiritual and moral values of Islam - justice, humanism, peacefulness, compassion and love for the neighbor. Uraza-Bairam has been celebrated for centuries by accomplishing good deeds and helping the needy," Medvedev said.
"Russia's Muslim ummah plays an increasingly important role in strengthening civil accord and ethnic cooperation in our society. Its educational activities and participation in upbringing the younger generation help assert tolerance and to strengthen mutual understanding between peoples," the President said.
