Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), India -- Zainabiya Polyclinic and Aeinullah Eye Clinic under Tanzeemul Makatib, under the direction of Shia Doctors, organised a medical camp on 12 February 2010 in the village of Deora District, Barabanki situated in Utter Pradesh, India, to nurse patients suffering from eye diseases as well as patients suffering from common diseases such as tuberculosis, stomach diseases, common colds, etc.
The medical camp was held by three General Practitioners as well as an Eye Surgeon and a total number of 500 patients benefited out of the free medical camp. The patients were not only given a free consultation but also free medications for their fast recovery.
The free medical camp was held during a religious procession that commenced in the morning at 9.00 am until 3.00 pm and was a huge success.
The World Federation of Shia Muslim officially opened its 3rd Aeinullah Eye Clinic in Lucknow on the 17th March 2004 (25th Muharram 1425) in partnership with Tanzeemul Makatib. Zainabiya Polyclinic was opened on the 14th of June 2009.
Dr Munir M Datoo Assistant Secretary General- Health stated- “I am very pleased and impressed to see that the community members in UP are benefitting from the health services established by Tanzeemul Makatib in partnership with The World Federation of KSIMC”.
