AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Quranic Community of the Islamic Republic of Iran, consisting of servants, reciters, memorizers, professors, and managers of Quranic affairs in the country, issued a statement condemning the insult to Jesus Christ (a.s.) by the U.S. president. While emphasizing the lofty status of Jesus (a.s.) in Islamic teachings, they also strongly condemned this offensive act and the disrespect shown to the leader of the world's Catholics.
The message reads:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
“The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him” (Holy Quran, Surah An-Nisa, verse 171)
Beyond the common beliefs of the followers of Abrahamic religions, which constitute their common ground and are respected by people worldwide, the noble religion of Islam accords a special status and respect to the divine prophets, including the herald of peace and freedom, the great prophet of God, Jesus son of Mary (a.s.), whose story appears in 15 chapters of the Noble Qur'an and in 93 of its verses. A prophet of such high standing, whose creation was by the specific will and supreme decree of the One God, and whose birth is considered a great divine event and a miracle. (He said, ‘So shall it be. Your Lord says, “It is simple for Me.’’ And so that We may make him a sign for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a matter [already] decided.’) (Holy Quran, Surah Maryam, verse 21)
A prophet of such high standing, who possessed numerous dignities and exceptional, undeniable miracles. (and [he will be] an apostle to the Children of Israel, [and he will declare,] “I have certainly brought you a sign from your Lord: I will create for you the form of a bird out of clay, then I will breathe into it, and it will become a bird by Allah’s leave. I heal the blind and the leper, and I revive the dead by Allah’s leave. I will tell you what you have eaten and what you have stored in your houses.) (Holy Quran, Surah Al-Imran, verse 49)
A prophet who is not only beloved by all Christians of the world but also respected and loved by the followers of other divine religions. (We make no difference between any of His apostles) (Holy Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 285)
An unparalleled personality whom Almighty God, according to the verses of the Noble Qur'an, has blessed in all times and places (He has made me blessed, wherever I may be) (Holy Quran, Surah Maryam, 31), and whose birthday, the day of his meeting with God, and the day of his resurrection are greeted with divine peace and blessings. (Peace to me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I am raised alive.’) (Holy Quran, Surah Maryam, 33)
A great man whose power is eternal, and in the end times, humanity will also benefit from his blessed existence.
He is the 'Word of God'!
And among the regrettable wonders of the world is that a delusional and narcissistic individual with blasphemous thoughts, who, in addition to insulting Pope Leo, the leader of the world's Catholics, by publishing a distorted image of himself in the likeness of Christ, has embarked on a path of insulting Christian sanctities. Although he eventually deleted his alleged post, he has provoked the anger of religious and political institutions worldwide, international analysts, and all free people.
Of course, from someone whom various personalities and groups around the world have officially and publicly described as a psychopath, unbalanced, delusional, ignorant, stupid, insane, and dangerous, nothing else was to be expected!
It is clear that for someone who is the primary agent behind the cowardly assassination of the leader of the Ummah, our martyred Imam, brave commanders, defenseless people, and the innocent angels of Shajareh Tayabeh, and who shamelessly and repeatedly refers to the assassination of the great martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani as one of his proudest achievements, disrespecting the sanctities of the people is not a very difficult task!
The Quranic Community of Islamic Iran, while expressing disgust at the U.S. president's repulsive act of desecrating the sanctity of the great prophet of God, as well as his insolence toward His Eminence Pope Leo, the leader of the world's Catholics, strongly condemns Donald Trump's foolish action. Alongside apologizing to the Prophet of peace and friendship, Jesus, son of Mary (a.s.), we are confident that through the pursuit of justice by the free nations of the world and the eradication of global oppressors and their stooges, the world will witness the establishment of justice, peace, security, and peaceful coexistence among all followers of divine religions. God willing."
