Lavrov: Iran's Right to Uranium Enrichment Is Indisputable

The Russian Foreign Minister stated, "Iran's right to enrichment is indisputable."

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, today, Wednesday, after returning from China, said in a press conference regarding the conflicts in West Asia, "The events in the Middle East represent an obvious crisis knot that will be very difficult to untie. Efforts to cut it are unlikely to yield results."

He continued, "The Gulf countries know that if it were not for the U.S. and Israeli aggression, Iran would not have closed the Strait of Hormuz. All Arab countries knew that Iran would retaliate against the U.S. attack by striking American bases on their soil."

The Russian Foreign Minister added, "Russia can provide energy resources to China and other countries that need them due to the Middle East crisis. Because of the Middle East crisis, European officials have asked the European Commission to postpone their plans for a complete cutoff of Russian energy resources."

Lavrov stated, "The U.S. government had planned the same actions regarding oil control against Iran that it also planned regarding the situation in Venezuela."

He noted, "The belief in the 'destruction' of Iran is impossible. How can anyone believe this? I don't know; I don't understand."

Regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear program, the Russian diplomat said, "Russia is ready to play a role in resolving the issue of Iran's enriched uranium. Russia is counting on the realism of the United States in its negotiations with Iran and in ending the aggression that is affecting the Gulf countries."

The Russian Foreign Minister stated, "Iran's right to uranium enrichment is indisputable."

He said, "Russia will accept any solution that is suitable for the issue of Iran's enriched uranium."

Lavrov noted, "The European Union has played the 'most harmful role' by carrying out the fraud of reinstating UN sanctions against Iran."

The Russian Foreign Minister continued, "Russia and China may support various formats for external support of the United States-Iran negotiations."

Lavrov emphasized, "Russia insists that the United States-Iran negotiations continue in Pakistan."
