Protest Outside the White House Following the Ceasefire; Demonstrators Demand Permanent End to War and Removal of Trump

Despite the announcement of a temporary ceasefire between the United States and Iran, protesters in Washington, raising Iranian flags, emphasized that this ceasefire does not mean the end of the war and called for Donald Trump's removal.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Anti-war protesters in the United States, gathering in front of the White House and in other parts of the country, raised Iranian flags and called for Donald Trump's removal. These protests emerged following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran—a decision described by protesters as "insufficient," and in their view, it does not resolve the root cause of Washington's aggression.

Protesters, chanting slogans against the government's military policies, emphasized that a temporary halt to attacks does not mean the end of the war but could instead lead to the continuation of tensions in the future. Some speakers at the rally called the president a "threat to global security" and demanded his immediate accountability.

Some participants expressed satisfaction with the halt of airstrikes, describing it as an "initial step" toward de-escalation, though they emphasized that this action must lead to a diplomatic solution and a permanent end to the war.

It is worth noting that Iran and the United States, in the early hours of Wednesday, after 40 days of war and with Pakistan's mediation, agreed to a two-week ceasefire and the resumption of negotiations based on Iran's ten-point proposal.
