Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance strongly condemned the attack on a Jewish synagogue in Tehran, saying, "The enemies have targeted Iran’s civilizational heritage, but Iran will remain, and they will depart."

In a post on his X page on Tuesday, Seyed Abbas Salehi described the destruction of the Jewish synagogue building in central Tehran as “bitter and deeply heartbreaking."  He further said: "The American-Zionist warmongers have targeted religious temples and Iran's civilizational heritage; for them, there is no difference between Muslims, Christians, and Jews."

Additionally, Mohammad Reza Aref, Iran’s First Vice President, reacted to the attack on the synagogue in Tehran and a church in Isfahan, writing in a post on X: "For centuries, Iran has been a safe haven for the sound of Christian bells and the prayers of Jews."

"The violation of the Tehran synagogue and the Isfahan church is not an attack on a single religion, but an attack on the heart of 'Iran' and our heritage of tolerance. I am certain that the blood bond between the ethnicities and religions of this land cannot be severed by such cowardly crimes," the first vice president said.
