AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In line with the emphases of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and coinciding with the early days of the new year and the spring season, Hojat al-Islam Mohseni Ejei planted a sapling.
After planting the sapling, the Head of the Judiciary, while honoring the memory of the martyred and great Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei (r.a.), who always emphasized tree planting and the planting of saplings, stated, “The preservation and development of natural resources and green spaces was always one of the recommendations of the martyred Leader of the Revolution, and this good and precious legacy remains with us from our martyred Leader.”
He stated, “This year, in accordance with the instruction of our Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Sayed Mojtaba Khamenei, we have again undertaken the planting of saplings, and we emphasize that this good tradition and practice should be prevalent among all Iranians throughout the year and at all times.”
Ejei, referring to the longstanding dedication of Iranians to nature, tree planting, and the environment, stated, “Iranians, from ancient times and throughout many ages and centuries when many of today’s countries did not even exist, had founded a green and nature-oriented civilization. The integration of this civilization with the teachings of dear Islam added to the richness and excellence of the Iranian nation and culture and strengthened its foundations.”
Ejei added, “Today, we see that the head of the aggressive and arrogant American regime, who wanders in his own fantasies and delusions, speaks of the destruction of the Iranian nation and our infrastructure, uttering nonsense. This devil-natured being, dwelling on the island of devils, must know that the Iranian nation and country are deep-rooted and civilized, and there is much evidence of this - such as these very trees that have grown in our land for centuries, their lifespans many times greater than the age of the country whose shallow-minded leader threatens our people and our progeny.”
He stated, “Tree planting and the planting of saplings are among the acts whose effects continue in human life, and its blessings persist even after one’s worldly life. The Iranians' dedication to tree planting, which stems from our nation’s civilized nature, continues under all circumstances and is a sign of our hope for the future and for brighter, greener days. With God's help, we will triumph over the tyrants, the arrogant powers, and the aggressors, and we will make Iran more prosperous.”
