Iranian FM Advises Hotel Owners in Persian Gulf-Region Countries

Araghchi urged hotel owners in Gulf-region countries not to provide accommodation services to military personnel who may endanger the safety of guests.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, issued a warning following reports published in American media about the presence of U.S. military personnel in hotels and office buildings in countries along the Persian Gulf, advising against hosting them, and stating that the consequences of such actions would be on their shoulders.

In a post on X, he wrote, “From the very beginning of the war, U.S. military personnel abandoned their military bases in the countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and resorted to hiding in hotels and government buildings. They are using the citizens of these countries as human shields.”

Hotels in the United States do not provide accommodation to military personnel who may endanger guest safety; hotels in PGCC countries should also adopt the same approach.
