AhlulBayt News Agency: A large-scale rally in support of peace and in protest of the US and Zionist military aggression against Iran was held in Berlin Monday.
Amira Mohammad Ali, a German politician and member of parliament, wrote on the social network X: “A large-scale demonstration was held in Potsdamer Platz in support of peace.”
Describing it as a spontaneous event, she said that about 2,500 people gathered to protest the military aggression against Iran, protest against the German government and the inflation caused by the war.
The representative from the German Left Party continued, “I thank everyone who participated in this rally and helped organize it. We sent a strong message against the madness of war and we will continue.”
This comes as the British anti-war campaigns have evaluated US President Donald Trump's withdrawing the threat of attacking Iran's vital infrastructure in two separate statements on Monday as a sign of Washington's failure to advance the war and emphasized the need for an immediate and permanent stop to this war.
The Stop the War Coalition said in a statement: “The suspension of Trump’s attacks on Iran is too late for the thousands of people who have been killed or injured in this illegal and unprovoked war. It is also too late to prevent catastrophic economic consequences around the world.”
The statement added, “However, this decision shows that this war is not going well for the United States militarily, economically, and in public opinion.”
Meanwhile, thousands of people in Britain also demonstrated on Sunday to protest the war policies of the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Participants in the demonstration chanted slogans condemning the joint American-Zionist attacks on Iran and waved the Iranian flag.
They also chanted the slogan, “End the hypocrisy in nuclear policies”, referring to the international community's dual policies toward the military nuclear activities of some regimes and the strict policies regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
The military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which began on February 28, has resulted in the martyrdom of hundreds of Iranians, including women and children.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and senior military commanders were among those martyred on the first day of the aggression.
In response to the aggression, Iran has launched intensive attacks against Israeli regime targets and US bases in the region within the framework of Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and with the aim of deterrence, and has warned that continued aggression will be met with a more severe response.
