AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali says the US is not prepared for a long war with Iran as it takes Washington months to replenish its fast-depleting stockpile of weapons.
Speaking with a Russian daily newspaper on Tuesday, Jalali said that Iran can speedily replace its munitions while it will take several months for the US to replace the weapons it uses in the war against Iran.
He added that Iran has just used a small portion of its military capabilities and is able to keep its fire on American targets with the same strength.
Noting that the US invasion of Iran has been carried out without the permission of Congress, Jalali argued that “this mistake by Trump” could lead to a vital defeat for his Republican Party in the upcoming mid-term elections.
He also said that the ongoing war is not popular with the American public, as he said that only 16 to 25 percent of the US population support the US military aggression against Iran.
