AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Defense Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated in a statement that the only way for non-belligerent countries to transit the Strait of Hormuz is through coordination with Iran.
The statement of the Defense Council is as follows:
Just as in the reciprocal action in response to the attack on the Natanz nuclear facility, the Dimona nuclear complex was targeted, and prior to that, Iran’s adherence to and determination in implementing the Qur’anic principle of reciprocity in response to energy infrastructure at Asalouyeh was proven, the Defense Council emphasizes its commitment to a decisive and devastating response to any aggression against power plants and energy infrastructure, and insists on its implementation without delay.
It also reminds that any attempt by the enemy to encroach upon Iran’s coasts or islands will naturally result, in accordance with standard military practice, in all access routes and communication lines in the Persian Gulf and along the coasts being mined with various naval mines, including swimmer mines deployable from the shores. In that case, the entire Persian Gulf will effectively experience conditions similar to the Strait of Hormuz for extended periods, and this time, alongside the Strait of Hormuz, the entire Persian Gulf will be effectively closed, with the responsibility falling upon the threatener.
The memory of the failure of over 100 minesweepers to clear a limited number of naval mines in the 1980s has not yet faded.
The only way for non-belligerent countries to transit the Strait of Hormuz is coordination with Iran, and the entire Iranian nation, the Armed Forces, and officials will stand firm to the death in implementing the order of the great Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
