AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, during a vigil on the 23rd night of Ramadan and Qadr Night, referred to the significance of these spiritual nights and stated that everyone must appreciate the value of the Qadr Night according to their capacity. He explained that the Night of Qadr is a night of revival, the revival of the heart, the revival of the intellect, and, in truth, the night of man’s return to the true path of life.
He added that one’s effort during these nights should be to ask God to compensate for one’s shortcomings, as human beings have many failings and lapses concerning divine commands, both in fulfilling obligations and in avoiding prohibitions.
The Secretary-General of the Assembly, referring to the importance of faith in taking Imam Ali (a.s.) as a role model, stated that the most important factor for being able to follow the example of that Imam (a.s.) is to have established faith.
Ayatollah Ramazani added that borrowed faith cannot keep a person steadfast on the path of truth; faith must be established and deeply rooted so that one can draw upon it in various arenas.
The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, referring to the phenomenon of “modern ignorance,” stated that today the world is facing a kind of modern ignorance, a situation where science and knowledge exist, but faith and spirituality do not. Under such circumstances, science is placed in the service of arrogance, and the result is threats, war, and the pursuit of domination.
Ayatollah Ramazani continued that Imam Ali (a.s.) emphasized that society must move beyond ignorance and advance toward truth and justice, for it is only in this way that society attains dignity and honor.
Ramazani, referring to the slogans of global powers, stated that today some powers claim they fight for peace or wage war for justice. He noted that this is the logic of modern ignorance.
He added that while numerous crimes are taking place in various parts of the world, including Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, global powers present themselves as defenders of human rights.
Ayatollah Ramazani, emphasizing that moving along the path of truth requires paying a price, stated that anyone who takes steps in the path of values must also pay the price. Imam Ali (a.s.) also paid the price of justice with his martyrdom.
In concluding his remarks, he emphasized that the Nights of Qadr are an opportunity for man to redefine his path in life and to see to what extent he has been able to take the example of Imam Ali (a.s.).
Ayatollah Ramazani stated that claiming to follow Imam Ali (a.s.) is easy but realizing it in practice is difficult and requires striving and self-development.
