Spain voices opposition to 'illegal' US-Israeli military aggression against Iran

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has described the war of aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime on Iran as "illegal" and "destabilizing", emphasizing that Madrid is opposed to the military action against the Islamic Republic.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has described the war of aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime on Iran as "illegal" and "destabilizing", emphasizing that Madrid is opposed to the military action against the Islamic Republic.

According to reports by some Western media outlets on Friday morning, Sanchez harshly reacted to the joint US-Israeli attacks on Iran, after attending a summit of the European Union in Brussels.

We are witnessing that this war has caused significant damage, the Spanish premier said while referring to the lack of any justifiable reason for the military aggression against the Islamic Republic.

Stating that the US-Israeli aggression inflicts great harm on civilians, he warned that the war will exacerbate the migration crisis, incur negative economic consequences for the whole world, especially for the developing countries that are already facing economic challenges.

The aggression against Iran is "illegal and destabilizing" and that's why "we oppose it", Sanchez emphasized.

The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military aggression against Iran following the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.

The attacks involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing a trail of death and destruction.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
