The news of Al-Azhar’s condemnation of Iran’s attack on its neighbors was a source of regret and surprise. Despite the fact that Iran was at the negotiating table to achieve a lasting peace, it was subjected to a cowardly attack by the treacherous Zionist enemy. Within a few hours, it led to the martyrdom of our Leader, the Martyr Leader, Seyyed Ali Khamenei, may God have mercy on him, and a number of our leaders and military personnel, while they were in their homes with their families and innocent children. It was expected that Al-Azhar would have condemned this cowardly attack at the very beginning, but there was no message of condolence!
Now, is it not right to condemn friendship with the infidels who have taken up arms against the Muslims and have already martyred 80,000 Palestinians, more than half of whom were innocent women and children? Has not the Holy Quran forbidden friendship with the enemies of God? “O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies of one another. And whoever among you takes them as allies, then indeed he is one of them. Indeed, God does not guide the wrongdoing people” (Al-Ma’idah: 51)?
Wouldn't it be appropriate for Azhar Sharif, in accordance with the requirements of (Qur’anic verse) "hardest against infidels", to warn the governments of the Persian Gulf states that friendship with supporters of the Zionist regime is not a godly thing, and to condemn it, and to warn the governors of Arab countries from this great mistake? Don't you see the cunning of the enemy of Islam, who is entrenched behind Arab soil and firing at us? Should we sit back and let the enemy's radars in Arab lands wage an unequal war for us, while we remain spectators? Oh, how humiliating!
Have we really lost our minds that we consider the current aggression to be Iranian and abandon the real aggressor. Wasn’t it Iran that rushed to the aid of the Palestinians in the field and is now paying the price for the same support in the field? Have you forgotten that during the Gaza war, not a single bullet was fired by the Arab rulers at Israel? Are our neighbors allowed to hand over their land to the supporters of the common enemy of the Islamic world so that they can cowardly attack the sovereignty of Islamic Iran on its land and its leadership? Aren’t the neighboring governments supposed to accept responsibility for the operation of American bases on their soil? Don’t you see the hand of the enemy of Islam behind these Zionist movements?
Isn't it time for Azhar Sharif to benefit from his thousand-year-old accumulated knowledge and, relying on Quranic verses, revive the commandment of jihad against the usurping Zionist regime and call on Arab rulers to unite against the excesses and totalitarianism of this regime's murderous leaders by establishing a League of Islamic Countries? Don't you see the open assistance of global arrogance and the hidden assistance of their agents in the region to the usurping regime?
We have never sought hostility with our neighbors rather we have taken up arms against the warring infidels. We have not targeted Muslims since we consider them to be from one nation. We consider friendship and mercy among the Islamic nation as our duty. Even if our neighbors are unkind. We have never drawn arms on them and we will never do so. We have never aimed at any respectable Muslim. We have never violated the right to dignity of a Muslim. We have never expanded the battlefield. The hostility of this cunning Zionist nation towards us does not make us deviate from the path of justice. Note that if the Arab world and its neighbors do not turn to the truth now and support the oppressor, one day this oppression will engulf the entire region, and then there will be no help or refuge.
Note that we Iranians have been a steadfast nation throughout history, never succumbing to oppression and tyranny and will never do so. We defend ourselves. This defensive jihad brings Iranian-Arab dignity to the Islamic nation. We also bear the wounds of our friends along with the terrors of the enemy, but we will not give up our sacred resistance and defensive jihad. We are ready to be a nation that God loves us and we love the Almighty. We stand by the Islamic nation and fight the enemies of Islam in the way of God and we do not fear the blame of the blamers. This is the grace of God that He grants to whomever He wills, and God is All-Wise, All-Knowing (Al-Ma’idah: 54)
Know that the traitorous enemy, since he could not achieve his goals in Gaza, tried to cover up his defeat and attacked Islamic Iran. The tools of his attack were the American-Zionist bases in the region, in order to create another sedition, so that he might escape from his defeat in Gaza or hide it. But he did not know that here we stand with the Islamic nation to the end of our lives, defending the truth, and we will take our grievances against our friends and neighbors to God so that He may judge between us, and He is the best of judges.
We advise Al-Azhar to stand on the right side of history in this war of truth and falsehood and not to listen to the enemy's propaganda, which aims to carry out the bitter story of Zion's history: "Divide and rule." They are seeking to throw the region into chaos and create division and conflict among us. Let us act with greater vigilance and speak with appropriate caution, and if we have obstacles to speaking the truth, at least let us not speak falsehood or remain silent.
