Iranian Army: Naval missiles forced US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln to retreat

The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced that its missile launches forced the US navy’s aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln to move away from the region.

ABNA24 - The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced that its missile launches forced the US navy’s aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln to move away from the region.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Iranian Army said the American warship retreated after its naval forces carried out missile strikes in response to the enemy’s evil crimes.

It noted that the launch of powerful shore-to-sea missiles, simultaneously with the farewell ceremony for martyrs of Iran's Dena destroyer, forced the American aircraft carrier move away from the regional waters.

Since its deployment to the West Asia region on the direct order of President Donald Trump, USS Abraham Lincoln has been changing its locations and course amid fear of Iran's ballistic and cruise missiles.

The United States and Israel launched a joint war of aggression against Iran on February 28 by assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and top military commanders, despite indirect Tehran-Washington negotiations.

Within the framework of its legitimate response, the Iranian Armed Forces immediately launched decisive missile and drone strikes against US bases in the region and the Israeli-occupied territories.
