Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei says the selection of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei as the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution has brought joy and hope to the great nation of Iran.
In a statement issued on Monday, Mohseni-Ejei honored the two previous leaders of the Islamic Revolution who, with prudence, steadfastness, and faith, led the Islamic Revolution through the formidable waves of events and kept the flag of justice, independence, and freedom raised high in this country.
He extended his congratulations to the Muslim, proud, and patient nation of Iran, the seminaries, the esteemed families of martyrs and veterans, the heroic armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, academics and elites, freedom-seekers of the world, and devotees of the Islamic Revolution across the globe, as well as all honorable people of Iran.
He also urged the noble Iranian nation, especially the elites, scholars of the seminaries and universities, officials, and all segments of the noble nation of Iran, to pledge allegiance to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and maintain unity.
Iran’s Assembly of Experts has chosen Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei is the son of Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei who was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike on his office in Tehran on February 28, the first day of the ongoing US-Israeli terror attack on Iran.
Following Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s assassination, a three-member temporary leadership council—including President Masoud Pezeshkian and Mohseni-Ejei—led the country until a new leader was chosen.
