President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez has condoled with the Iranian nation, government, and president on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and termed it a clear violation of international law.

“The execrable assassination of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei constitutes an outrageous violation of all the norms of international law and of human dignity,” Díaz-Canel Bermúdez wrote on his X account.

“In Cuba, Khamenei will be remembered as an outstanding statesman and leader of his people, who contributed to the development of friendly relations between Cuba and Iran,” he added

He also offered his deepest condolences to the Iranian people, government, and President Masoud Pezeshkian on the assassination of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred following an attack by the Israeli regime and the United States on Saturday morning, February 28, 2026.

In response to US and Israeli regime's warmongering the Iranian military started missile and drone attacks on their bases.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Monday that the tenth wave of attacks, carried out with Kheibar missiles and part of True Promise-4 Operation, has opened the “gates of immense fire” upon the occupied territories.
