AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The death toll has risen to 53 following what Iranian officials described as a brutal U.S. attack on the city of Minab.
According to a spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Education, 53 schoolgirls were killed in what was described as U.S.-Israeli missile strikes targeting a girls’ school in Minab.
Ali Farhadi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, told the state news agency IRNA that “global imperialist America and the Zionists” carried out three missile strikes on a girls’ school in the city earlier today.
He stated that, so far, 53 students have been confirmed dead and 63 others injured in the attack.
Farhadi added that the school building has been completely destroyed, and rescue teams are continuing efforts to recover the dead and injured from beneath the rubble.
