AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Congress MP reacted to the Prime Minister’s visit to Israel and his upcoming speech in the Knesset. She emphasized that as a global leader, India has a moral responsibility to speak about humanitarian crises and stand up for innocent lives affected by conflict.
She said, “I hope that during his visit to Israel, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the Knesset, he will speak about the killing of thousands of innocent men, women, and children in Gaza and demand justice for them.”
She added that raising the issue would reflect India’s long-standing commitment to human rights, peace, and international law.
Priyanka Gandhi further stated that India, as an independent nation with a strong history of supporting justice and non-violence, has always stood on the side of what is right. She stressed that India’s voice carries weight on the global stage and should be used to promote dialogue, restraint, and accountability.
She said, “We must continue to show the world the path of truth, peace, and justice,” highlighting India’s traditional role in advocating peaceful solutions to international conflicts.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has departed for Israel on a two-day official visit. During the trip, he is expected to hold high-level meetings with Israeli leaders, discuss bilateral cooperation in areas such as defense, technology, agriculture, and trade, and strengthen diplomatic ties between the two countries. He is also scheduled to address the Israeli Parliament, where his remarks are likely to draw international attention.
