Palestinian volunteers use Ramadan gathering to defend village from settler attacks

In Sinjil, north of Ramallah, youths set up a Ramadan tent that has evolved into a coordination point for volunteer night patrols amid rising settler attacks. The tent strengthens community solidarity and supports efforts to protect homes and families.

AhlulBayt News Agency: In the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, local youths have set up a Ramadan tent decorated with lanterns and lights to celebrate the holy month.

In recent days, the tent has also become a gathering point for volunteer guards who stay alert at night to protect their homes and families from potential settler attacks.

One volunteer explained that the tent now serves as a coordination hub for young men conducting nightly patrols, especially as settler assaults on Palestinian villages—including Sinjil—continue to rise.

Another volunteer added that the tent aims to strengthen community solidarity, use strong floodlights to deter settlers, confront them when necessary, and prevent them from approaching homes and property.
