AhlulBayt News Agency: Two Palestinian citizens were martyred and others were injured in renewed Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning amid other ceasefire violations persisting for the 113th consecutive day in different areas of the coastal enclave.
The sources reported that Khaled Dahleez, 63, was shot dead by an Israeli drone northwest of Rafah.
Earlier, another civilian was killed and several others were injured in a drone strike north of Wadi Gaza in the central Gaza Strip. The martyr was identified as 48-year-old Ayman Zaqqout.
At dawn Sunday, Israeli armored vehicles opened fire towards the eastern areas of al‑Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The Israeli army also detonated an armored vehicle carrying explosives at a building in the northeast of Gaza City.
On Saturday, more than 30 civilians, mostly children and women, were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting different parts of the Gaza Strip.
Egypt on Saturday condemned Israel’s repeated violations of the Gaza ceasefire after its strikes killed over 30 Palestinians, warning that the attacks risk undermining efforts to stabilize the truce.
In a statement, the Egyptian foreign ministry said the Israeli ceasefire violations were fuelling tensions at a time when regional and international actors were working to advance the second phase of a ceasefire framework proposed by US president Donald Trump.
The ministry stressed the need for Israel to adhere to the agreement’s next phase and to implement the UN Security Council Resolution 2803, saying continued violations threaten the political process and obstruct attempts to move Gaza towards security and humanitarian stability.
The ministry warned that the latest developments could derail efforts to create conditions for early recovery and reconstruction in the enclave, calling on all parties to fully uphold their obligations and exercise restraint to preserve the ceasefire.
