Algerian Analyst: Any Attack on Iran’s Leader Would Trigger Multiple Fatwas Across the Islamic World

Algerian Analyst, Abu Zakariya, highlighted the religious and jurisprudential status of Iran’s Leader, stating that in such a scenario, the issue would no longer fall under the category of collective jihad (jihad al‑kifāyah) but would instead become an individual obligation (jihad al‑‘ayn) for all Muslims.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Algerian Analyst, Abu Zakariya, highlighted the religious and jurisprudential status of Iran’s Leader, stating that in such a scenario, the issue would no longer fall under the category of collective jihad (jihad al‑kifāyah) but would instead become an individual obligation (jihad al‑‘ayn) for all Muslims.

He added that religious authorities in Iraq, Yemen, and the Maghreb region—including scholars from institutions such as the Zaytouna Mosque—are prepared to issue such fatwas if necessary.

The Algerian analyst also noted that Iran has conveyed messages to the United States through regional intermediaries, warning of severe consequences should any action be taken against the Leader of the Islamic Republic.

He noted that such a development could seriously endanger U.S. interests in the region and raise concerns among several regional states, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Abu Zakariya concluded by expressing hope that no harm would come to Iran’s Leader, stressing that any such incident could push the region into an extremely dangerous and unprecedented phase.
