AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In a speech to students at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “We must pledge allegiance to Imam Mahdi (a.s.) and remain steadfast in our allegiance. The covenant we make with the Imam can determine the nature of our lives. What is common among all the Infallibles (a.s.) is that they teach us how to live and conduct our lives; how to think, how to have an ideology, what path to follow, and what destination to consider.”
Ramazani emphasized, “These days, ‘how to live’ is very important. When our living becomes meaningful, our passing will also become meaningful. What matters is how to live and conduct life; then we will also understand and comprehend how to die.”
The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “With this perspective, those who were on the path of evil, hypocrisy, duplicity, moral and human vices, oppression, tyranny, arrogance, and domination are all recognized. The fork in the road becomes clear: the path of truth and the path of falsehood, the guardianship of truth and the guardianship of falsehood.”
Continuing, Ayatollah Ramazani added, “When God established religion as the truth, He also appointed its executor; the prophets came to realize religion in society. This path continues until the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), the Infallible Imams (a.s.), and ultimately until the Reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a.s.). Religion must be implemented in society with all its dimensions.”
Applying this issue, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “The Islamic Revolution was founded on this very basis, for the realization of justice. Today, the world faces poverty, discrimination, and injustice. Global security and justice are under attack, and terror has cast its shadow over the world. The arrogant system humiliates mankind and calls for submission.”
He added, “Amidst this, Imam Khomeini (r.a.), an Islamic seminary graduate, rose up and restored dignity and awareness to us. He only feared God, and in the face of the greatest arrogant power of the era, said, ‘America cannot do a damn thing,’ and the world saw that it could not do anything. The Iranian people, with their massive presence, made the revolution victorious, and 98 percent voted for the Islamic Republic. The Iranian people paid a heavy price for independence and freedom, sacrificed many martyrs, some were imprisoned, and truly resisted.”
Ayatollah Ramazani described the Islamic Revolution as having three pillars, saying, “The Revolution has three fundamental pillars: Islam, leadership, and the people. These three pillars have always been under attack. Conspiracies began from the day after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.”
The Secretary-General emphasized, “Today, those same lies continue. Global media outlets lie. Over 95 percent of the media outlets are controlled by Zionism. We have also paid costs on the path of truthfulness; commanders, scientists, women, children, and innocent people have been martyred.”
Ayatollah Ramazani went on to explain the characteristics and qualities of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, stating, “The Supreme Leader of the Revolution is a personality who is a jurist, just, a manager, prudent, knowledgeable, simple-living, ascetic, and beloved by freedom-seekers of the world. Threatening him is a threat to all freedom-seekers and a red line for the Iranian nation.”
He further added, “The Iranian nation is an ancient nation with thousands of years of history, not nascent. Iran had an ethical charter even before Islam, and accepted Islam not by force but willingly.”
Providing an overall analysis of current affairs, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Today we are at a crossroads, ‘surrender or resistance.’ Surrender means disregarding all ideals: independence, freedom, and Islam. We cannot surrender. The number of martyrs, veterans, prisoners, and the wounded shows what price this nation has paid. This path is the path of Imam Hussain (a.s.); it is the path of dignity, resistance, and ‘Never to humiliation!’”
