AhlulBayt News Agency: Tehran's provisional Friday Prayers Leader says that Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces are the main pillar of protecting the noble people of the country and the Islamic Revolution.
Speaking during this week's Friday prayers sermon in Tehran’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari seized the opportunity to congratulate the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), marking National IRGC Day, and emphasized that IRGC forces are the main backbone of safeguarding people and the Islamic Revolution from external threats.
Turning to the outstanding status of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the country in protecting people and safeguarding the sacred values of the Islamic Revolution from external threats, the senior cleric expressed hope that the IRGC will continue its influential role in the country.
He commemorated the names and memories of martyred senior Iranian commanders who made their utmost efforts in elevating the glorious name of Islamic Iran throughout the world.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Friday prayers leader pointed to the recent foreign-backed violent riots that hit across cities and provinces of the country, stressing that the noble people of the country, under the wise leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, thwarted the malicious plots and conspiracies waged by enemies, especially the United States and the Zionist regime.
Enemies of the country hijacked the peaceful economic protests and turned them into a violent riot, he said.
He added that the enemies of the country wanted to make up for their defeat sustained during the 12-day war and orchestrated violent riots across the country, but their vicious plots were foiled by the powerful Iranian armed forces and the noble people of the country.
