“It is with great sadness and sorrow that I received the news of the passing of the great scholar, Hojat-ol-Islam Sayyid Ali al-Salman. He passed away after a blessed life filled with valuable services in the path of promoting the Hanif religion and attending to the affairs of the believers. May God grant him the reward of the righteous,” Ayatollah Sistani wrote in his message.

“I offer my condolences to the noble children, the noble family, the blessed Al-Ahsa Seminary, and all the believing brothers in that region for this painful loss. I ask God Almighty to gather the deceased with his pure ancestors, elevate his ranks in Paradise, and compensate the believers for this great loss.”

In conclusion, Ayatollah Sistani prayed for patience and peace for the survivors and devotees of the cleric from Al-Ahsa.
