AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In the birth ceremony of Prophet Jesus (a.s.) at the AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, Ayatollah Ramazani, noted to the high status of Jesus (a.s.) and Lady Maryam in the Holy Quran. “Prophet Jesus (a.s.) and his honorable mother Lady Maryam has been mentioned in the Quran. Even there is a Chapter (Surah) is named after her.”
Explaining the concept of the “Word” in the Quran, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “About Prophet Jesus (a.s.), this concept has several meanings: first, he is the guide and conductor of the human society with his existence and his words; second, previous prophets had given the good tiding of his arrival, and therefore, he is introduced as savior.”
On the third meaning of the “Word,” Ramazani emphasized the role of Prophet Jesus (a.s.) in explaining and correcting the deviations. Because, after the distortion of Turah, he reintroduced the correct path of guidance to humanity.
“The fourth meaning of the ‘Word,’ which is important to us, is that Prophet Jesus (a.s.) is the symbol of God’s glory and beauty, the attribute which is used for the Prophet of Islam (p.b.u.h) and Infallible Imams (a.s.) and they have been introduced as the ‘Completed Word’.”
Ramazani added, “All the divine prophets come to be the proof and show the right path. Therefore, Jesus is the savior of the humanity, and man, during the history, have been always needed to be released from internal pharaohs and jinn and human devils.”
