AhlulBayt News Agency: The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Ukraine’s chargé d’affaires in Tehran to formally protest against recent remarks by certain Ukrainian officials concerning Israeli and American military actions against Iran.
According to IRNA, during a meeting on Monday, Shahram Farsaei, Director of the First Eurasian Department at the Foreign Ministry, conveyed Iran’s strong objections over what he described as baseless and unjustified comments from Ukrainian officials.
Farsaei stated that by expressing support for the Zionist regime’s military aggression, Ukrainian officials have effectively disregarded their country’s international obligations under the United Nations Charter and the four Geneva Conventions. He added that such support amounts to an endorsement of the crimes committed by what he referred to as the Israeli apartheid regime, thus placing international legal responsibility on the Ukrainian government.
The Ukrainian envoy was also warned of the consequences of Ukraine’s continued hostile and provocative stance toward Iran.
In response, the Ukrainian chargé d’affaires stated that he would communicate Iran’s concerns to his government.
