AhlulBayt News Agency:On the directive of Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior, a special task force has been established under the National Cyber Crimes Investigation Agency to monitor and combat hate speech on social media during the holy month of Muharram. The initiative aims to crack down on hate content, misinformation, and incitement to violence.
According to the Ministry, strict action will be taken against those who use social media to spread religious hatred and discord. A dedicated team of experts has already begun monitoring online platforms for posts that promote sectarianism and inflammatory rhetoric.
Reports indicate that the team includes technical specialists, digital analysts, and officers trained to detect hate content. Legal proceedings will be initiated against individuals found responsible for disseminating such material.
Authorities have emphasized that curbing online incitement during Muharram is a top priority. The move is intended to ensure a peaceful observance of Muharram, promote inter-sect harmony, and uphold discipline across digital platforms.
