No injustice against mourners will be tolerated: MWM Sindh

Addressing a press conference at Hyderabad Press Club, Allama Ali Anwar Jafari, Provincial President of the Azadari Wing of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Sindh, strongly condemned any form of injustice or aggression against mourners during the sacred days of Muharram.

AhlulBayt News Agency: He declared that restrictions, FIRs, or interference in mourning processions and gatherings are completely unacceptable.

"Azadari (mourning for Imam Hussain) is our lifeline and a slap on the face of Yazidiyat (tyranny). It symbolizes unity, discipline, and love among Muslims around the world," he stated. Allama Jafari stressed that during these holy days, it is the government's responsibility to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity, water, and gas—especially during processions and majalis (mourning gatherings)—and to maintain peace and security across all regions.

He expressed concern over reports of unjust FIRs and changes to traditional procession routes under the pretext of 'security,' calling on the government to crack down on disruptive elements instead of targeting mourners. He warned against any attempt to restrict Azadari during Muharram and demanded complete religious freedom for Shia Muslims.

At the end of the press conference, Allama Jafari and fellow leaders paid tribute to the martyrs of recent Israeli aggression in Iran. They strongly condemned the “satanic actions” of Israel and the United States, and congratulated Iran for its courageous resistance and for upholding the honor of Islam through its response.

the press conference was attend by: Central Vice President Syed Zain Rizvi, Hyderabad District President Allama Gul Hassan Murtazavi, provincial religious leader Maulana Imran Ali Dasti, Divisional President Syed Safdar Abbas Abidi, Legal Advisor Advocate Rahman Raza Abbasi, District General Secretary Muhammad Jumman Solangi, Jafaria Alliance President Sajid Ali Ansari, Asghariya Ilm-o-Amal leader Syed Pasand Ali Shah, Syed Farzad of Anjuman-e-Haidari, Syed Arshad Taqvi from Bab-e-Ali Daman Kohsar, and Janab Ashiq Ali from Payam-e-Wilayat Foundation.

Together, they called on the Sindh government to provide all necessary facilities to mourners during Muharram, as this is a constitutional right of every citizen. They warned that if these demands are not met, mourners may be forced to take to the streets in protest.
