AhlulBayt News Agency: An Israeli drone strike targeted an ambulance in the Iranian city of Najafabad on Sunday evening, killing all three people on board, local officials confirmed.
According to Hamidreza Mohammadi Fesharaki, governor of Najafabad, the attack occurred near Shahid Montazeri Hospital on Shariati Street. The ambulance was en route to the hospital, transporting a patient when it came under fire.
According to Mehr, the strike caused significant damage to the vehicle, resulting in the deaths of the ambulance driver, the patient, and a companion accompanying the patient. The impact also forced the ambulance off the road, causing a collision with a nearby civilian vehicle.
Authorities have condemned the attack as a gross violation of humanitarian norms, describing it as an inhumane act that targeted a clearly marked emergency medical service. Further details are expected as investigations continue.
