Renowned Bangladeshi scholar highlights obligation of love for Ahlul Bayt

Ghadir Eid marks the occasion when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) declared Imam Ali (AS) as his successor, a pivotal event in Islamic history. Scholars continue to emphasize the importance of loyalty to Ahlul Bayt (AS) as a fundamental Islamic teaching.

AhlulBayt News Agency: A renowned Bangladeshi scholar has emphasized the significance of loyalty and affection for Ahlul Bayt (AS), the noble household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), as an essential duty for all Muslims.

Speaking at an international webinar dedicated to Imam Ali (AS), Mohammad Moin Al-Islam Al-Majidi highlighted a hadith from the Prophet of Islam, which states that love for Imam Ali (AS) and the Prophet's family is obligatory for all believers.

The event was organized by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought on the eve of Ghadir Eid. This occasion commemorates the historic event when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) appointed Imam Ali (AS) as his successor and the leader of the Islamic nation.

Al-Majidi elaborated on Imam Ali’s exceptional wisdom and knowledge, referencing the well-known saying of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH): “I am the city of knowledge, and Ali is its gate.” He explained that this statement signifies that those seeking knowledge must first find the path to acquire it through Imam Ali (AS).

The scholar further stated that Imam Ali (AS) is a member of the Prophet’s family, and true love for Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is incomplete without devotion to his household. He asserted, “To love Ali is the sign of the perfection of faith and religion.”
