AhlulBayt News Agency: Mawlawi Nazir Ahmad Salami, a member of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, congratulated the Islamic Ummah and the noble people of Iran on the arrival of Eid al-AdhaHe expressed that Eid al-Adha, alongside other major Islamic holidays, is one of the most important occasions that fosters unity and cohesion among the Islamic Ummah.
Mawlawi Salami acknowledged that Eid al-Adha occurs during the days of Hajj, which shows that God has placed many lessons for the Islamic Ummah during the days of Dhul-Hijjah that should be given special attention.
This Sunni scholar emphasized that Eid al-Adha not only has a spiritual aspect but also significant social and political dimensions. Therefore, those who travel from various countries to the sacred land should recognize the challenges, opportunities, and benefits that exist among the Islamic Ummah and take advantage of these opportunities.
He stated: "The Islamic world must devise solutions for various issues that strengthen unity and cohesion among the Islamic Ummah. Thus, common interests and opportunities can serve as a connecting link and unity among the Islamic Ummah."
The member of the Assembly of Experts noted that on this day, the Islamic Ummah is tasked with assisting the underprivileged by distributing the sacrificial meat and sharing it among the needy, families, and then their relatives, in accordance with the tradition of the Messenger of God.
He continued: "The purpose of these actions is, first, to create and strengthen the unity of the Islamic Ummah, as during these days, the world's underprivileged are supported by the believers, and we will witness awareness of the conditions and situations of Muslims worldwide, providing support to those in need. Second, it neutralizes the plots of the enemies of Islam and protects the Islamic Ummah from the influence of divisive issues within their ranks."
He concluded by emphasizing that the essence of Hajj and Eid al-Adha should prevent the divisive goals of the enemies of Islam and strengthen closeness and unity among the various segments of Islamic societies.
