The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly praised Sharif Mohamed Ali Haidara’s religious and missionary activities in Senegal and Mauritania during their meeting.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, who is visiting Senegal at the invitation of religious figures in the West African country, met with Sharif Mohamed Ali Haidara, a prominent religious leader and missionary.

Expressing his satisfaction with the meeting, Ayatollah Ramazani told Haidara, “We consider you an influential member of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.”

He stressed the importance of pooling resources in religious work, stating, “If capacities are brought together, great outcomes will follow.”

Praising Haidara’s extensive religious efforts, the Secretary-General noted, “Mr. Haidara oversees forty mosques and is active not only in Senegal but also in Mauritania. We truly value his contributions to religious activities.”

During the meeting, Sharif Mohamed Ali Haidara, who is also one of the five religious caliphs in Senegal, highlighted the extent of his work, saying, “We have schools, mosques, development projects, and diplomatic agreements with West African countries. We also maintain a strong relationship with the Senegalese government. This work is difficult and requires close engagement with officials.”

Detailing his background, he added, “We have been active in West Africa for the past 25 years and submit an annual report of our activities to the Senegalese authorities. We would be honored to visit Iran and make pilgrimage to the shrines of Imam Reza (a.s.) and Lady Fatima Masoumeh (a.s.). We are proud of you, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

The Senegalese religious figure further explained, “Sixty years ago, Senegal and Mauritania were one country. In our schools, we teach a religious curriculum based on the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.). We used to have a university, but it was shut down. In our schools, we teach beliefs, ethics, and religious practices such as the rulings on ablution, prayer, and fasting.”
