HOLY CITY OF SAMARRA, Iraq: Professional technicians are working to reconstruct the vandalized parts of the holy Mehrab of the Sardab (cellar) of Imam Al-Asr Al-Hojjah Al-Montadhar (AS) in the holy city of Samarra.
Sardab (cellar) is the place from where Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) went into concealment. Pilgrims may enter this Sardab by a flight of stairs.
According to media sources subordinate to technical committee for the rebuilding of Samarra the experts stood to craft ancient scriptures after drawing it on white transparent paper to preserve the history and spiritual landmarks.
The sources indicated that this holy place will be ready to receive pilgrims within seven days.
The sacred Sardab was seriously damaged after the bombing at the hands of terrorists.
قبة ما يُعرف بسرداب الغيبة، وكان هذا السرداب جزء من بيت الامام العسكريين عليهما السلام في سامراء. ولا صحة لما يقوله بعض المغرضين من ان الامام المهدي عليه السلام دخل فيه وغاب، نعم يُستفاد من بعض الروايات انه عجل الله فرجه، كان يحضر فيه احياناً وقد التقى فيه بعض المؤمنين ولذلك يستحب زيارته فيه عليه السلام
شباك المحل الذي كان يتعبد فيها الامام المهدي عجل الله فرجه، في سرداب منزل ابويه العسكريين عليهما السلام في سامراء، ويتبرك الزوار بالصلاة لله فيها. ويرجع تاريخ هذا الشباك التاريخي النفيس الى عهد الحاكم العباسي الناصر لدين الله في القرن الهجري السابع
