AhlulBayt News Agency: The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended its congratulations to Lebanon on the anniversary of Resistance and Liberation Day, marking the 2000 liberation of southern Lebanese territories from Israeli occupation.
In a message shared on X late Sunday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei congratulated the Lebanese government, people, and the fighters and leaders of the Hezbollah Resistance Movement on the occasion.
Baqaei also paid tribute to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the former secretary-general of Hezbollah, who was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs on September 27, 2024.
Iran reaffirmed its support for Lebanon and praised the resilience of the Lebanese people in their struggle against occupation.
