Yemeni military vows continued operations in response to Gaza massacres

Yemen’s Armed Forces launched a hypersonic missile at Ben Gurion Airport, halting flights and triggering air raid sirens. The attack is part of Yemen’s continued military operations in response to Israel’s war on Gaza.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Yemen’s Armed Forces have carried out a fresh missile strike against Israeli-occupied territories, halting flights at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv and setting off sirens across Israeli towns and settlements.

The operation was conducted on Sunday morning, with Israeli media confirming that air traffic at Ben Gurion was halted after a missile was fired from Yemen.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, several flights were stuck in the air due to the Yemeni missile, and four flights experienced delays in landing at Ben Gurion Airport, forcing them to circle off the coast.

The Israeli occupation army claimed that air defense systems were working to intercept a missile fired from Yemen, as a ballistic missile was detected heading toward the occupied territories.

Israeli media also reported that air raid sirens were sounding west of occupied al-Quds due to a ballistic missile coming from Yemen.

A statement by Yemen's military confirmed that the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a specific military operation targeting Lod Airport, known in Israeli terminology as Ben Gurion Airport, in the occupied city of Yaffa, using a hypersonic ballistic missile.

The statement added that the operation successfully achieved its objective, causing millions of Zionist settlers to rush to shelters and bringing the airport to a standstill.

The YAF confirmed their continued ban on air traffic to Lod Airport, stating that most airlines have complied with the blockade in recent days, significantly impacting air traffic at the airport.

The statement further emphasized that the daily massacres committed against Palestinians in Gaza are pushing Yemen, with its proud people, faithful leadership, and mujahid army, to escalate military operations aimed at halting the aggression against Gaza and lifting the siege.

Since March 18, when the Israeli regime resumed its aggression against Palestinians in Gaza, the Yemeni military has launched 39 ballistic missiles and at least 10 drones at the occupied territories in support of Palestinians.

The latest Yemeni strike marks the third attack in four days and the fifth since last Sunday.

Earlier this month, the Israeli military failed to intercept a Yemeni missile that successfully struck the heavily fortified Ben Gurion Airport, leaving at least six people injured.

The Yemeni Armed Forces began their campaign against Israeli-linked ships and targets in the occupied lands in November 2023, a month after Israel launched its genocidal war in Gaza.

Yemen halted its attacks in January, when Israel accepted a Gaza ceasefire.

However, two months later, Israel unilaterally broke the Gaza truce and resumed its aggression, prompting the Yemeni forces to resume their operations in solidarity with Palestinians.

These operations, aimed at pressuring Israel to end its war on Gaza and lift the crippling siege, have triggered widespread disruptions in international shipping, tourism, and air travel, with dozens of global airlines suspending operations to and from Israeli airports.
