Israeli forces kill two more journalists in Gaza, raising death toll to 219

Israeli forces have killed 219 journalists in Gaza since the war began, with Abdulrahman al-Abadlah and Fatima Hassouna among the latest victims. The Gaza media office has condemned the targeted killings, blaming Western governments for complicity. Press organizations are demanding international action to hold the perpetrators accountable.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli army has killed 219 journalists in the Gaza Strip since the war began on October 7, 2023. The state media office in Gaza announced that the latest victims were journalists Abdulrahman al-Abadlah and Fatima Hassouna, who were killed in an attack on the Taffah area in eastern Gaza.

With the death of al-Abadlah and Hassouna, who were martyred alongside ten of their relatives, the number of journalists killed in Gaza continues to rise. The Gaza media office stated that al-Abadlah had previously collaborated with the Al-Nahar news agency and several media institutions.

The office condemned the deliberate targeting of journalists, holding the Zionist occupiers, as well as the governments of the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, responsible for crimes against journalists.

The International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and other press organizations issued statements calling for immediate action to hold the perpetrators accountable in international courts and to stop the killings of journalists.
