Israeli forces displace 300,000 Palestinians and kill 200 in northern Gaza

Israeli forces have displaced over 300,000 Palestinians and killed more than 200 civilians in northern Gaza within 48 hours. 140 victims remain trapped under rubble, while Israeli drones burn shelters amid international silence.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Within 48 hours, the Israeli occupation army has forcibly displaced more than 300,000 Palestinians from their homes and tents in northern Gaza, killed over 200 civilians, and destroyed about 1,000 housing units, according to the Government Media Office (GMO).

In a statement on Saturday, GMO described the killings as another crime added to Israel’s bloody record, stating that more than 200 martyrs were killed in north Gaza governorate alone in the past 48 hours, as part of a continuing series of massacres.

The Israeli army has completely or partially destroyed more than 1,000 housing units, including previously damaged homes, and forcibly displaced more than 300,000 civilians toward Gaza City, which lacks the necessary infrastructure to shelter them.

GMO reported that around 140 victims remain trapped under rubble, as ambulance and civil defense teams are barred by Israeli forces from reaching the bombed areas, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

The Israeli army has been systematically targeting every moving object in northern Gaza, including individuals, vehicles, and rescue teams, effectively turning the area into an open killing zone under Operation ‘Gideon’s Chariots’, which aims to kill and displace thousands of civilians.

Israeli drones have also burned hundreds of tents sheltering displaced people in Jabalia camp’s Tel al-Zaatar area, Beit Lahia, and other locations, amid international silence and complicity in the ongoing genocide.

In Gaza City, which has been forced to absorb tens of thousands of displaced people, there are no sufficient tents or shelters, forcing thousands of families to live on the streets, particularly in al-Jalaa street and as-Saftawi area, amid a total absence of basic needs such as food, water, and medicine, while continuous bombardment persists.

GMO underscored that what is happening in northern Gaza is full-fledged genocide and ethnic cleansing, perpetrated by Israeli forces in plain sight of the entire world.

The Government Media Office called for immediate and effective international action to halt Israel’s growing massacres and systematic genocidal crimes in Gaza. It also stressed the urgent need to dispatch rescue and medical teams to save the wounded and retrieve the bodies of the victims.
