Pezeshkian rejects Trump’s accusations, says Iran will not bow to pressure

President Masoud Pezeshkian dismissed Trump’s accusations, reaffirming Iran’s commitment to peace. He criticized world powers for fueling conflicts through arms sales. Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned Trump’s remarks as false and misleading.

AhlulBayt News Agency: President Masoud Pezeshkian has reaffirmed that Iran will never bow to threats and pressure, strongly rebuking US President Donald Trump for his accusations against Tehran. Trump has claimed that Iran is a destabilizing force in the region, but Pezeshkian dismissed these allegations as baseless.

Speaking at a meeting with economic actors and investors in Kermanshah on Thursday, Pezeshkian criticized the United States for its double-standard policies toward Iran. He argued that Washington imposes sanctions and threats while simultaneously speaking about human rights, calling such actions hypocritical.

Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran seeks peace, not war, and has always pursued mutual respect in both domestic affairs and relations with neighboring countries. He pointed to the crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza, accusing those responsible for massacring civilians of falsely claiming to advocate for human rights.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, Trump labeled Iran as the “most destructive force” in West Asia and vowed to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons. Pezeshkian rejected these claims, reiterating Iran’s stance against non-conventional arms.

The Iranian president also criticized world powers for fueling conflicts by selling weapons and missiles to the region. He argued that arms sales drive instability, as war creates a market for military equipment.

Pezeshkian highlighted Iran’s strong relations with regional countries, stating that there is no reason for conflict that benefits outsiders. He stressed that trade among Muslim nations could lead to the creation of a vast economic market, strengthening regional stability.

He warned against efforts to sow discord among regional countries, reaffirming Iran’s commitment to peaceful coexistence and cooperation. He emphasized that Iran has chosen a path of stability, even if others seek instability.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry firmly rejected Trump’s remarks, calling them “false, divisive, and misleading.” The ministry condemned the accusations as an attempt to distort regional realities and shift blame onto Tehran.
