Iran and Uzbekistan have deep historical and cultural ties that continue to shape their bilateral relations. Both countries are committed to strengthening cooperation in trade, security, and technological development. Recent agreements aim to enhance mutual progress and regional stability.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized that expanding relations between Iran and Uzbekistan will enhance mutual and regional peace and security.

During a meeting on Monday with Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, who arrived in Tehran a day earlier leading a high-ranking delegation, Pezeshkian expressed optimism about strengthening cooperation between the two nations.

“We can improve the welfare of our people while bringing greater peace, security, and stability to the region by deepening relations and sharing experiences, capabilities, and achievements,” Pezeshkian stated.

The Iranian president highlighted the deep historical, cultural, linguistic, and ideological ties between Tehran and Tashkent, stressing that geographical borders cannot separate the two nations.

He underscored the importance of increased exchanges between officials and citizens of both countries, noting that such interactions would strengthen cooperation across all fields.

For his part, Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov praised the significant efforts made by both presidents to advance mutual objectives and improve bilateral relations.

Aripov also visited an exhibition showcasing Iran’s scientific, industrial, and technical achievements and commended the country’s impressive advancements in various sectors.

In the presence of Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref and Aripov, Iran and Uzbekistan signed four cooperation agreements aimed at expanding ties across multiple domains.
