The Head of Iran’s Islamic Seminaries stated,” The valuable and strategic message of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is in fact a transformative charter not only for the Qom Seminary but also for all the seminaries.”

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Head of Iran’s Islamic Seminaries stated,” The valuable and strategic message of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is in fact a transformative charter not only for the Qom Seminary but also for all the seminaries.”

Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, Head of Iran’s Seminaries, made some remarks on Sunday evening, May 11, in a meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Aftab Haidar, South African scholars and guests present at the 100th anniversary conference of the Qom Seminary,” The 100th anniversary conference was a novel event for the Qom Seminary and the seminaries in the early years of the 15th century of the Islamic calendar. This event both looked back at the last 12 centuries of Qom and emphasized the last 100 years of Qom.”

The member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries added,” This event had numerous advantages, the most important of which were the gathering of all groups, institutions, and various departments of the seminaries, the speeches and messages of the seminary authorities and elders, the presence of scholars from Islamic countries, and of course, the center of this event was the Supreme Leader’s comprehensive new charter.”

Pointing out the participation of dozens of groups from different Islamic countries in this international event, the Head of Iran’s seminaries noted, “This historical charter is a new chapter in the progress of the seminary, and in particular the field of Islamic sciences and religious knowledge, and the institution of science and culture, and the seminary in Iran and the Islamic world.”

“In fact, the historical charter of the Supreme Leader is a summary of this past heritage and legacy and an interpretation of the successful seminary that came in his decree. On the other hand, it is a perspective on the new needs of man and the world, contemporary youth, and the new world and horizons that he opened to the seminaries.” Ayatollah Arafi added.

In the final part of his speech, the Head of Iranian seminaries described the seminary as an international institution with a civilized and responsible approach to society, the contemporary world, and the revolution.

At the beginning of this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Sayyid Aftab Haider, one of the South African scholars, presented a report on the trend of scientific and knowledge centers in Africa, especially South Africa.
